SOLD Hootiful Steampunk Vintage Style Jewelry Box

The design is centered around one of my favorite decoupage rice papers, "Head Full of Dreams".

The box was painted with Dekor Chalky Paint in the stunning Thorn green color leaving some of the original wood grain to show through lending to a woodland feel. Pieces of the Dreamy Florals and Owl transfers add color and whimsy. Resin cast embellishments and metal findings give a 3D element.

The interior is impeccable, with its blush-colored lining providing the perfect backdrop for your jewelry. The only thing that needed improvement were rough edges on the mirror onto which I covered by handpainting trees. The inside of the door was decoupaged using Afternoon Hummingbirds.

The top is adorned with a raised stencil, and colored using gold metal pigment powder and Pigment Fix which were also used to color the embellishments.

I used Hemp Oil to seal the entire piece.
